DNA technology crucial in murder conviction of John Wakefield

Schenectady, NY

John Wakefield was convicted of the first-degree murder of Brett Wentworth. The conviction occured nearly five years after the crime, where Wentworth was strangled with an amplifier cord in his home.

Wakefield could face life in prison without parole. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 27th.
